OK I’m ready to saunter down to the old couch later today to watch the Boston Red Sox do their thing (I can practically hear a million unsubscribe clicks from Yankee Fans). I have a few organic beers, natural homemade salsa and of course the sesame & seaweed rice chips. Prior to writing this entry I sauntered down to the local store and with my cap pulled low to my eyes purchased a box of Mac & Cheese. The reason why I sunk so low is that I needed to get a better feeling of the chemistry involved in this modern day concoction. Granted, being cheap I bought the store brand but prior to purchase I ran a quick comparison with the “premium” brand (the good crap) and found that with the exceptions of a few compounds they both had essentially the same formulation. As I write this blog entry someone somewhere is ordering a decafe vente latte not too smarte from his local barista. Coffee is the ultimate wonder-food. It tastes great warm, tastes great cold, you can take it black and strong, creamy with foam, as an ice cream flavor and so on and so forth. There are so many aspects of coffee to write about.
