Right now, if you used a conventional deodorant this morning, you may actually have a biocide known as Triclosan slathered all over your arm pits. The purpose of this compound is to kill off the bacteria that creates body odor. For a list of reference information about Triclosan check out the EPA’s Pesticides Page “Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Index for Triclosan (I’m not kidding, Pesticides)…Huh.. Triclosan is of course one of those “nice” names given to complex chemicals. So to be more accurate, you actually have something in the chlorinated diphenyl ether group slathered all over your [...click to contimue reading...]

Basically no time but I love to eat well. Here’s what I do. Once a week I’ll hit the store for veggies. The two pound bag of onions, five pound bag of [...click to contimue reading...]
We recently posted an article on ice cream (”Cookies & Cream Ice Cream“) and thought it would be a good thing to do a review of an ice cream maker for those who do not currently own one. We’ll be looking at the Cuisinart ICE-20 “Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker”. This can be purchased at all major stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Linens & Things. We bought ours at Linen’s. It sold for $49.99 and we used the 20% off coupon they regularly publish leaving us with a net price of about [...click to contimue reading...]
Summer … Ice Cream they really go together. Well today we’ve put together a summertime recipe for you that is easy to make organically.
