Organic Buttermilk Pancakes. Warm & comforting. Just right for this time of year. We’ve put together a recipe that’s easy and quick to bring together. This beats the premix “quick pancakes”…. which, lets say taste “not good”.

 So you get a better pancake and the cost is about the same…what about the time and effort required? Well, like a lot of products in the “conventional” food world the Quick Mix is really in my opinion just a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Basically, such products simply pre-measure the dry ingredients. So the work you save is measuring out a few ingredients…you know I think we can handle this, especially when you taste the final result. Other considerations are that you have control so your ingredients are fresher and you can tweak the recipe to your own taste if you like (for instance enhance or cut down the sugar content). And of course if you’re dead set on a mix just take 20 minutes sometime and make up about 4 of them for yourself. Just measure out the dry ingredients and store each batch in separate containers.

 Anyway, there’s nothing like homemade. These beauties are light, fluffy and full of flavor. AND they are organic…meaning no residues or genetically engineered ingredients. Just those that are clean, natural and wholesome.
