Trying to figure out what to do with this site. That is, where should it go to reach more people and to provide a more meaningful experience to those who do visit?  It seems that the natural thing would be to formalize this into a natural foods business where we would provide useful information as well as products that meet the standards of Organic Health and Social/Environmental Responsibility.  I’ve been spending more time travelling lately for my business which makes it even more challenging to live Organic, Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free. There’s a ton of food available out there but the conventional crowd has quite literally fouled it up in one way or another.  Did a few things that didn’t work out.. One was this mix of precooked vegi’s that included things such as sweet potatoes.  Well, we made a few tweaks to the meat eater’s version of Boston Baked Beans (which used the traditional salt pork) and worked out a vegan version. Actually, we found that very few tweaks were necessary. These involved the amount of molasses used, extra virgin olive oil, additional cooking of the onions (to substitute flavor that had been in the salt pork) and adjusting the temperature & baking time (to give a little extra margin of protection between the oven temp. and the smoke point of the olive oil).  And something really nice happened .. these [...click to contimue reading...]
