Have to drive down to Connecticut tomorrow and travel with this guy from New York who’s a big eater of all that I hold as evil. So two problems, one I like to eat light and frequent meals .. the New York guy, he can live off of body stores of fat and then undergo a massive refueling at lunch. Second problem is that the place for lunch will most likely have an all junk menu. So the plan is to load up on high quality protein and oil on the way up (fish with a drizzle of olive oil for instance). This should supply the calories I need and then when we put on the feed bags at the lunch place (put my foot down as to where we end up) go with a good size salad and load on the olive oil and vinegar. This should work better than the potato chip debacle of an idea that was tested in Vegas. Will issue a full report of attempt #2 at travelling with a conventional foodie.
