In our search of convenience food that’s organic we ran across a box of Nature’s Path Hemp Plus Waffles..Since a review of the out of the ordinary may help our readers expand their culinary horizons we took a chance and bought a box. Here’s what we found…
We bought a box of the Nature’s Path Toaster Pastries to see if they’d measure up..here’s the highlights of what we found… USDA Organic Labeling…Good! Pretty good nutrition but God knows why all toaster pastries are such high calories (200 for these) but that’s typical for the product category. But no cholesterol. Sure beats bacon & eggs. Easy to make. Pop in the toaster on low setting. Smell awesome. Taste very, very nice…Not over the top sweet. Flavor like a home made pie crust. Organic Buttermilk Pancakes. Warm & comforting. Just right for this time of year. We’ve put together a recipe that’s easy and quick to bring together. This beats the premix “quick pancakes”…. which, lets say taste “not good”. So you get a better pancake and the cost is about the same…what about the time and effort required?
