Rich, creamy butter. Melting warm and spreading it’s wonderful flavor all over your food. And when the two combine … then magic happens. It’s the difference between a bagel alone and a bagel with beautiful butter melting all over it. There’s really no comparison, and in fact, just writing this is making my mouth water.  It’s been awhile and I still can’t believe the level of support people from all over the world have shown this humble (ok not that humble) blog.  Anyway I’m back to writing and looking forward to updating the design and really bringing more of what people seem to enjoy.  Trying to figure out what to do with this site. That is, where should it go to reach more people and to provide a more meaningful experience to those who do visit?  It seems that the natural thing would be to formalize this into a natural foods business where we would provide useful information as well as products that meet the standards of Organic Health and Social/Environmental Responsibility.  Yesterday I’m gabbing away as usual..finished copping the day’s vegetables. Give the knife a rinse, a dry and starting in for a few swipes across the sharpening stone. Blah blah look away knife swipes across the top of the old thumb instead of the stone. And the knife does a good job at what it’s suppose to do. However, a lot of pressure and a butterfly stitch after and all is well.  Sorry I have been away from the blog for almost a week, but it’s been a tough one. Continued experimenting with Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Caffeine-Free Living and there have been tough days with some pretty harsh withdrawal symptoms. But one of the good outcomes to surface was in learning that I was anemic due to an iron deficiency. Prior to this I’d eat very clean during the week and have one off-day during the weekend. Turns out that upon analysis, my weekly diet (not counting the off-day) supplied about 50% of the RDA of iron..seems that the [...click to contimue reading...]

 As you may have noticed we’ve moved…So we’re rebuilding what we had and trying to make a few improvements along the way. For one thing the recipe page is going to be easier to access (just click on the link under “Pages” at the top of the sidebar) and printer friendly PDF’s will be available within the blog post itself by clicking a link.
